Self-hosted
Open-source core. Free to run.
The answer engine, product UI and permission layer under the MIT licence. You provide the infrastructure and model services. The source is available to customers on request, and a public repository is coming.
A few useful details.
Choose the setup that fits your team, your sources and how you want to run Louvain.
How does the free trial work?
Choose Team or Business, create your workspace and add a card at checkout. Your trial lasts 14 days. If you cancel before it ends you are not charged; otherwise your plan starts and is billed monthly for the people in your workspace. During the trial, connections import the last 90 days of history and the monthly allowance is smaller.
What’s included in self-hosting?
The MIT core includes the answer engine, application, permissions, API, MCP server and core connectors. Brokered OAuth connectors and enterprise extensions have separate commercial licensing. See what’s open.
How does model usage work?
Each plan includes a monthly allowance per person — model usage, imported items and answers — pooled across the workspace, so a heavy user can draw on a light one’s share. When the workspace reaches it, new requests pause until the next month or an upgrade. Self-hosting uses model services you provide.
Can we start with one team?
Yes. Start with the people and sources that matter to one workflow, then expand as you need. Hosted Team and Business plans have no seat minimum.
Can our AI assistants use Louvain too?
Yes. Add Louvain as a remote MCP server in Claude, Claude Code or Cursor and approve access once, or call the HTTP API. An assistant reads with the permissions of the person who connected it.
Where is our data processed?
Hosted Louvain runs in the European Union (Frankfurt): the application, its database and the service that holds sign-in tokens for connected sources. Some providers, such as the model providers, process data elsewhere. The providers involved and where they process are listed on our Subprocessors page, and our Data Processing Addendum applies to every hosted plan.
